1NCAAP (North Carolina Alternate Assessment Portfolio) development begins the first 10 days of school for a year long process at grades 3-8 and 10.
2Seniors who have failed to meet the requirements must be given an opportunity to retake the test during the last month of school.
3NCAAAI (North Carolina Alternate Assessment Academic Inventory) for Grades 3-8 and 10 (Reading, Mathematics, and/or Writing) or for traditional high schools participating in any End-of-Course NCAAAI is conducted three times annually: Once during the first month of student participation, once as interim assessment, and once at the end of the school year. Grade 10 reading and math NCAAIs have local flexibility in the assignment of ratings as allowed in the manual. High schools following 4X4/semester schedule for End-of-Course NCAAAIS must complete three evaluations within the semester.
4NCAAP (North Carolina Alternate Assessment Portfolio): completed portfolios must be shipped to NCDPI's designated contractor NO LATER THAN March 25, 2005.
