How the Governor and members of the North Carolina General Assembly choose to fill that significant gap while meeting the state's needs will define North Carolina's public schools for generations to come.

Governor Perdue presented her budget on Feb. 17 and over the next several months, members of the General Assembly will work to balance the budget and set the state's fiscal direction for the 2011-13 biennium.
