Using Art to Help Students Find a Voice - NC Art Museum Workshop

Brief Description: This workshops takes place March 15 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Cost is $15 for members, $20 for nonmembers. It is designed for PreK-12 teachers of all disciplines.
Investigate how the visual arts can help students develop self-awareness, confidence, and the openness to articulate their thoughts and feelings. Designed especially for school counselors, this workshop considers works of art as neutral spaces through which difficult topics may be explored. Earns 0.5 CEU.

*Pairs of teachers from the same school representing different subject areas who register together receive a discounted rate of $15 per person. For more information, to register with a colleague, or to inquire about scholarships and travel stipends, contact Camille Tewell.
