CEDARS Data Warehouse (CDW) Overview

This one hour webinar will provide an introduction to the state's longitudinal data store: the CEDARS Data Warehouse (CDW). Participants will understand the purpose of the CDW and how the warehouse is connected to other NC DPI systems. Attendees will become acquainted with the process for registering for an account, the types of accounts available and who would approve the accounts. Questions submitted via the 'GoToWebinar' tool that cannot be answered during the event will be incorporated into an ongoing Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) document posted to the CEDARS website.

Detail Users

This two hour webinar, designed for staff with the Detail Answer User role, will provide an introduction to the 13 Subject Areas available within the CEDARS Data Warehouse (CDW). Additionally, it will provide a demonstration of how to use the Data Dictionary, and will include a discussion of why the data load schedule is important to the end user.
Questions submitted via the 'GoToWebinar' tool that cannot be answered during the event will be incorporated into an ongoing Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) document posted to the CEDARS website.

Functionality

This two hour webinar, designed for staff with the Detail Answers User role, will provide an introduction to the functionality of the Cedars Data Warehouse reporting system (OBIEE). Attendees will understand best practices for creating a report including filters, functions, and formatting. Questions submitted via the 'GoToWebinar' tool that cannot be answered during the event will be incorporated into an ongoing Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) document posted to the CEDARS website.
