WELLS FARGO DONATES $125,000 TO CHARLOTTE HIGH SCHOOL
Wells Fargo employees presented leaders of the urban farm at Garinger High School with a check for $125,000 Saturday and spent the day helping with plowing and planting. The gesture is part of Wells Fargo's Day of Caring. The bank's leaders said it was the kind of community service is key for their company to thrive.
“In order for us to be successful as a bank, we have to have a great community," said Kendall Alley, Regional President for Wells Fargo. "If we're gonna live in this community, we should do the best we can do to make it the best it can possibly be.”
Wells Fargo expanded its Day of Caring to 10 days this year. The bank began its community service push June 1 and more than 4,000 employees will continue various service projects until June 10.
