R.I.S.E. REGIONAL TRAININGS

R.I.S.E, Resiliency, Information, Support, Empowerment. North Carolina Regional School Safety Training.

Audience:
All stakeholders including parent/guardians, school faculty and staff, mental health providers, law enforcement, juvenile justice staff, social workers, nurses, etc.

Description:
RISE is a 2-3-day training designed to provide information sessions to participants on youth and emergency preparedness topic areas. The RISE training will focus on Resiliency, Information, Support and Empowerment needed when faced with supporting children and adolescents in schools and communities. This training offers a variety of informational sessions to participants covering the areas of bullying, suicide, opioid and substance use, critical incident, and other vital information about trauma and victimization among children and adolescents, and how the various dynamics impact school climate and school safety.

The Center has completed regional trainings in Asheville, NC; Greenville, NC; and Wilmington, NC.
Paid for by VOCA funding through the NC Governor’s Crime Commission.
