Grasp pedagogy, policy and procedure for teaching and working with English language learners. This course will prepare administrators to work with ESL parents and create a welcoming environment for ESL students.

North Carolina Formative Assessment Learning Community's On-line Network (NC FALCON)

NC FALCON was developed to provide systemic statewide professional development in the area of formative assessment for all North Carolina educators. In response to requests for affordable professional development and ongoing support from the agency, we are pleased to provide this free online professional development opportunity.  LEAs/Charter Schools are to put together an implementation team consisting of instructional and assessment staff. These individuals are required to attend a NC FALCON Orientation and will be responsible for developing and executing a NC FALCON district implementation plan.

Data-Based School Reform for Administrators

Research shows that effective school improvement plans should be based on careful analysis of school data. In this course you'll use technology to identify, gather, and analyze data for patterns and trends; examine the role of data in equity reform; and develop action plans in support of school-based data.

This workshop is designed to acquaint administrators with new online communication and web 2.0 tools that support school operations.
