Crises Services - NC Division of Mental, Developmental Disabilities, and Substance Abuse Services
Any person may receive crisis & emergency services for mental health, substance abuse & intellectual/ developmental disabilities issues. Regardless of where you are, you can call the LME-MCO 24-hour Access/Crisis Telephone Line in your county at any time. A trained person answering the telephone will connect you with services to address your situation. You may receive crisis services regardless of your ability to pay.
Child & Family Services
Children with serious emotional disturbances face challenges in many aspects of their daily lives-at home, in school, in social situations and in the community. Because of this, they need coordinated services and supports from a variety of child-serving agencies as well as natural supports located in their home communities.

- New in-state, toll free customer service number: 1.855.262.1946. This number is only operational in North Carolina. The new number will work with the current number 919.715.3197. The toll free number allows consumers, family members, providers and stakeholders to speak directly to a trained person and address complaints, concerns and general questions regarding the service system. The call center is operational from 8 am to 5 pm.
