Whole School, Whole Community, Whole Child Update

NCDPI’s NC Healthy Schools Section is planning a dynamic year to support district Whole School, Whole Community, Whole Child (Whole Child) work. Many resources are available to LEAs; following are just a few:

  • An assessment tool has been developed for LEAs to track various measures within the 10 Whole Child components. The tool allows districts to input data unique to their community and to track academic measures. Staff are available to help populate the data. If you have questions with this tool, feel free to reach out. An action planning template also has been developed. After reviewing your data in the assessment tool and seeing important priorities in which to focus your work, you may use the action planning template to keep your work moving along.
  • One-hour webinars have been scheduled. Our team is excited to provide professional development around the Whole Child model and how to use it to ensure every child reaches their full potential. Registration information for the first three is below. All webinars will be held the fourth Tuesday of each month at 10 a.m. Please notify appropriate staff.
