Exceptional Children Division Updates

  • Public Meetings Scheduled for Proposed Policy Amendments
    The NCDPI Exceptional Children Division will hold five public meetings to receive comments regarding proposed amendments to specific sections that define, evaluate and identify Specific Learning Disabilities to the Policies Governing Services for Children with Disabilities.     Resources to help Exceptional Children staff complete mid-year forms for PRC-29 funding have been added to the Exceptional Children website at Mid-year materials include: student information and services intervention forms, request for funds, tips for completing PRC 29 forms, intervention definitions, and more.

Spring Workshops Scheduled for NC Holocaust Council
The NC Holocaust Council has published dates for its spring teacher workshops at The one-day workshops feature speakers who provide an overview of the holocaust and first-hand accounts of life as holocaust survivors. Resources to assist teachers in curriculum planning are included in the workshop.
